Antique engraving print, London : St. Mary Aldermanbury, Jones & Co., 1830. A pleasant antique print – an exterior view of the Wren church of St. Mary the Virgin, Aldermanbury – now removed to the campus of Westminster College, Fulton, Missouri, as a memorial to Sir Winston Churchill. Engraved by Robert Acon (1792-1880) from an original study by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd, the master recorder of nineteenth-century London. From Shepherd’s series “London and its Environs in the Nineteenth Century” (London : 1829-1832). Hand colored. Perfect condition. 26 x 22 cm.
