Del nostro amor la galaverna

.

parlando quasi a forma umana | là sotto quelle foglie rosse:

sempre sotto scorta,

ma

le foglie rosse tagliano corolle,
vagliando scudi per la tosse,
gli scribacchini usano legni secchi alle cocolle,
come strami per pescare
lungo i bordi delle fosse.
Rimane muto il tronco,
annichilito,
pensando ai rami
con cui faranno libri per pollami.

And then upon our love’s tree arrived suddenly the rime

bringing into my heart anguish and fear in that dire time.

Just in the air were left those leaves hatefully coloured red,

inside our souls there were just boredom, tedium and dread .

So we forgot the sun which used to keep us warm in summertime

when we both tight lived fairies’ time and now around just rime!

Just like Petrarca once missing Mona Laura and her fair hair

I started approaching that tree so alone and naked in the cold air

speaking to its red leaves, asking: “Will ever be there for me a new girl

able to support me crossing off from the sky these iced whirl?

Or shall I suffer endlessly in my life which seems harvest of winters

bearing my existence similar to a broken mirror reduced to splinters?”

Mute then remained those branches in the iced sky there above:

“Do I realize! I am bound to stay forever lonely without a love!”

.

A certain rime risks, how old it is! how worthless it is!
that the tree gets infected, one-armed as it is, when it is winter
its carmine red leaves wiggle and waddle
TV’s slaughters in Laure’s band dead-odalisque on a bunk
everyone opens their mouths to their chiefs of boats
takes a bow in front of publishing structures,
winter orphans of sense, chamber pots in the mud
of fart-stuff writers in today’s dead-tongued ever on stand-by fairies,

but

the red leaves cut corollas
assessing shields for the cough,
scribblers use dry woods in the cowls,
just like litters for fishing
along graves’ edges.
The trunk remains silent
annihilated
thinking about its branches
someone is going to make books for poultries with.
